Shahed Rafiuddin, for many is known as “Robin”, who is a composer, pianist and gifted
producer from a far off land in the east Known as Bangladesh.
This gallant gentleman with a peaceful spirit and love
for mankind started his interest in music as a youngster. From that time he
never looked back. Artistically, he was driven, so he had come to experiment
with several other instruments, just to name a few: He mastered the harmonium,
performed on bass guitar, -- percussion too! Yes of course-he's recognized
first as a pianist, because one will testify, as many have experienced, his
rhapsody of joy, yet level of performance intensity.
During childhood, his father would travel extensively, which lead to a growing interest
in world music & building a great American Collection. This gave little
Shahed the opportunity to listen to that same music; actually mastering the
various western styles. Once a young adult, after post college career
education, he took some advance music coursework & grooming, which included
private master lessons with renowned instructors. “Robin” also studied formally at a
conservatory. With all this cultivation and adventure, ---- add a lifetime of
hard work, which now equals perfection he applies today.
His style is
unique. Call it “Acid Jazz”, World
Music, Easy Listening, smooth, original, or just plan classy or classic. Any or
all could describe his music. Mr. Shahed Raffiuddin traveled international
performing. He has directed and composed for media programming overseas,
performed in orchestras, had success as band leader, played at famed hotels
& venues. Through the years “Robin” has performed on stages
for several hundred in the U.S. to thousands overseas. He's even dazzled
ambassadors. Recently he was one of the top musical artistic talents to be
considered as the composer for an international sports championship theme song.
